Eat, Drink and Be Merry

This morning, I had orange juice and it was amazing. Yep. I drank this with a chocolate covered, peanut butter granola bar thing. I know, it’s a strange combo, but it was awesome. During this whole stay-home ordeal, I’ve been starving. Last night, I had this enormous steak and french fries. Yes, french fries, because all bets are off now. For months, I’ve had nothing but healthy food, no sugar, no nothing good. All of my friends eat healthy now, run, and weigh 93 pounds and I was most envious. Envy will inspire you to do lots of things, some good and some not so good. My doctor was so excited by my new lifestyle. I told him I missed orange juice and he frowned and said I could just eat a small orange instead. “The days of eating and drinking anything we want are behind us now,” he pronounced. Life as we knew it ended today. Dang. I loved life as we knew it. But now, the world may be ending. This may be it for some of us so, for the time being, I’m going back to the old Louisiana motto, “Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may die.” If you’re envious of my old/new lifestyle, you can try this, too. You may soon need a pretty big coffin, though, so plan accordingly.
